"Phoenix" is a high sabino tovero mustang stallion originally a blank small Classic-Scale "Tango" resin by Sarah-Mink. He's about 86% of the way done. Sorry for the crappy photo quality, it was taken in my laundry room at like 3 AM a couple weeks ago. The next time this model's photo is updated it will be when he's 100% completed.
After completion Phoenix will be shown in one Photo show even though he is, in my opinion, completely Live Show Quality and after that he will be off to Australia to show for his proud new owners.
I love the way he looks roaned on his bum and belly in the chestnut, it's very pretty if I'm seeing it right! I couldn't ever paint these things, paint and I just dont get along and I don't have the patience for that sort of thing. XD
How much do these resins normally go for, I've always been curious about it.
lol yeah he's pretty roany. I'll be posting an updated finsihed photo of him tonight that's not all blown out LOL!
Tango, that particular resin, sells for around $185-300. Most resins sit in that price range unpainted, painted they go up into the thousands. It's NUTS!
Wow! O_____O I'd always thought about going out and looking up how much they go for and seeing about getting one but wow, I didn't know they were THAT much!!! That's just insane.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
